Alexander Bah, the former Portugal international striker, is back in the mix for Benfica as they prepare to face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
Bah, who played for the Portuguese national team and was known for his powerful left-footed shots, has been linked with a move away from Lisbon this summer.
However, the forward remains confident that he will be able to regain his form after a long layoff.
He told The Athletic: "I'm ready for the challenge. I feel great physically and mentally, but I also want to work on my game.
"I know I have to be more aggressive,Premier League Focus more dynamic and show better finishing skills."
Bah, who scored 25 goals in 177 appearances for Portugal, has been a key figure during the club's recent run of success under Jose Mourinho.
Benfica are currently in third place in the league table and have won five out of their last six games.
They will look to build on their recent win over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final, which saw them beat Real Sociedad 4-0.
But Bah believes that they can still surprise again by taking advantage of their good form against strong opposition.
"Benfica is a tough opponent," he said. "We need to keep our attacking style and create chances when we're in control.
"We've had a lot of good performances in recent weeks, so it would be interesting to see how we can continue to do that."
